Top Places To Travel After Quarantine

First up, lets start with my favorite destinations near, in the good ole US of A. There are so many great places right in our own back yard and honestly domestic travel may be travelers best and safest bet as we all get back to travel after this pandemic.

5.) Charleston- I cannot say enough great things about Charleston and I am so happy I was able to get this trip in this year prior to quarantine. Delicious food, rich history, Southern charm and great breweries are just some of the awesome things you'll find in Charleston. And how cute are these colorful streets!? Perfect for a photo op!

4.) Vail- Whether you're more into actual Skiing or more into the Apre life, Vail is the place for you! It's as if you're transported to a French Alps Village. So Picturesque and a close drive from Denver. Put this on your Winter Travel Bucket list!

3.) Fort Lauderdale/Miami- If you need a quick weekend getaway, full of sun and fun with friends, look no for further than Florida! You can usually get a cheap flight right out of Bradley and you can also save money by staying in Fort Lauderdale but hitting up Miami while you're there. If you're ready for great music and dancing, check out a Miami Pool Party! It will be a blast!!

2.) Orange County, California: Orange County has everything I love, beach vibes, beautiful rooftops and perfect weather year round! What's not to love!? Spend your days rooftop hopping or boating in the Harbor and don't forget to indulge in the amazinggggg food!

1.) Fire Island, New York- People may be shocked by this choice but I absolutely LOVE Fire Island and I had one of the best weekends ever there! Everything about Fire Island is charming! The laid back beach vibes, the fact that there are no cars and everything is walk- able (how fun!!) and the beach bars (Go to Flynns, its an absolute blast!) I just love this place and I cant wait to go back! Hitch a Ferry this summer from CT, you will feel the love too!

Honorable mentions for NYC (obvi) and Nashville! New York has everything and is close to home! Some of the best food I've ever had, rooftops with incredible views, Broadway and most importantly, some of my best friends, so that ones a no brainer for me! And Nashville, is just a blast! From the live music, peddle Taverns, Southern food and all the fun honky tonks, it's sure to be one of the most fun weekends of your life!

Now onto my top 5 fav places abroad! This was even harder to compile but its a list full of culture, beautiful cities and villages and of course, delicious food!

5.) London-I always say I loved London so much I could totally see myself living there! London is full of culture, history, famous landmarks, cheap Broadway tickets and great food! Try a Hop on /Hop off buss to take in the maximum amount of sights and definitely take in a show!

4.) Santorini, Greece- When I picture Heaven on Earth, I think of Santorini. It literally is Heaven on Earth! The classic blue domed roofs along with the crystal clear blue waters and white hillside villages, Santorini is what dreams are made of. Take a donkey ride and rent a boat to cruise around the Greek Islands for a once in a lifetime experience!

3.) Positano, Italy- Positano is a dream. Amazing views, food to die for and one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen! Cruise around the island by boat during the day, take in an afternoon cocktail at Francos bar (one of my favorite bars in the world!!) and finish the night next door at Hotel Ancora for a dinner with a view that is straight out of a post card!

2.) Nice,France- Deciding btw number one and number two was a difficult choice because the French Riviera is one of the most amazing places I have ever been!! I loved EVERYTHING about it! Nice is the perfect mix btw that classic laid back European beach Village that I just love and the historic city center! Staying in Nice is perfect because its a great location, making it easily accessible to Canne, Monaco and Eze (but wayyyy cheaper than staying in those locations). Take a boat ride to one of the richest Harbors in the world in Monaco, relax at Ruhl Plage beach club and of course, fit in a walking tour of the charming city center! I cannot wait to go back!

1)Ireland-Ireland was my home for 6 months back in 2009 and it will always hold a special place in my heart and forever be my favorite place in the world! From the rolling green hills, picturesque scenery, lively pubs, rich history and charming cities and villages, I will forever love Ireland! When you go, be sure to explore Galway's Cliffs of Moher, the breathtaking views in Ring of Kerry, the adorable sea-side village of Kinsale and, of course, the place I called home, the city of Cork! After 11 years, we were supposed to finally return to our old stomping grounds this past April, but of course the Pandemic had other plans for us. I cant wait to finally get back to this place that means so much to me and share it with Stath!

Honorable mentions for Iceland and Hvar, Croatia. Iceland is literally out of this world. The landscapes are just unbelievable and having Champagne in the Blue Lagoon was a majjjj Bucket list item I was so excited to check off! As for Hvar, Croatia, i just loved this little Island located in the Adriatic Sea! Awesome beach clubs, great waterfront restaurants and beautiful sea views! I wish we had more time there and I'd love to go back!

Now that I've reminisced on trips of past during this challenging time of no travel, I hope this inspired all of you for your next trip, and we can look forward to the future and checking off some more Bucket list hot spots!

My bucket list includes includes Dubai, Napa, Aruba (hopefully heading there in August for our friends wedding!), Portugal,Banff, Mykonos, Morocco, Park City Utah, South Africa, Lake Como and Switzerland, just to name a few ;) Cant wait to get started ASAP! Whats on your Bucketlist!?

Thanks for reading! Hope you are all staying safe and healthy! Hopefully we'll all be back to exploring this beautiful world again soon!

xoxo
