Charleston, Hilton Head and Savannah Travel Guide!

Last month, we took we took a quick 3 day trip down south to eat some good food, drink some good dranksss and enjoy some warmer weather! If you ever dreamed of all the southern charm Charleston has to offer, keep reading and get ready to plan your trip! I absolutely LOVED Charleston, and I cant wait to share all the fun details here!

First up, where we stayed! For this trip, I again opted for good ole Air B and B. The houses there are sooooo pretty and vintage! I knew a house like that would be perfect for our group of 7 people. It was also the most affordable and spacious option. Our Air B and B was absolutely lovely and charming. The owners were probably the best Air B and B hosts I've ever had. She met us right at the house at check in, had drinks and snacks waiting for us and gave us a full list of recommendations that were all great! The best part is, the Air B and B only cost 113 dollars each! Look at how dreamy this was! click the picture below to book our Air B and B

Once we got settled into our house, we headed right to lunch, obviously! We headed down to King Street, the main street of Charleston. It is so quaint and colorful, with tons of great restaurants, bars and shopping! We hit up Magnolias, a somewhat pricey, but very well known Charleston staple. Going for lunch was a great way to experience it, but on a budget! It was delish southern food and a great way to kick off the vaca!

Next up, we did one of my fav things to do on Vaca: A walking tour!! I always suggest doing walking tours the first day of a trip so you get the layout of the land, which is exactly why I planned this walking tour right away on our first afternoon. Our walking tour was very informative and hit all the major landmarks, that being said, the guy was a bit much much but we still learned a lot and saw a lot of interesting and beautiful spots throughout the city! Plus, it was only 22 bucks each! Click the picture below to book our walking tour!

That night, we hit up the most recommended BBQ in Charleston: Lewis Barbecue. It was casual but delish! The atmosphere was adorable and the ribs were awesome! After that, we hit up Revelry Brewery rooftop for a night cap. You know me,I'm a sucker for a rooftop and it was so cute! Definitely a must go in Charleston! And the Brewery also had wine, which is always a plus for me!

On the second day of our trip, we started off with what I was the most excited for: brunch at NICO! For all you Southern Charm Fans, NICO, Naomie Olindo's restaurant, was awesome! Its a little pricey but going for brunch was a great way to be V BoujE on a Budget! I loved the atmosphere and the food was delish! I highly recommend the nutella crepe! If you're planning a trip and want to hit it up, book a rez ahead of time because it fills up quick! Click the link below to make your reservation!

After Brunch, we took a quick little walk down the street to Shem Creek Marina.I loved this area! It was such a great little harbor with loads of water front restaurants with outdoor seating and fire pits.V on brand for me! It was an awesome place to grab a drink and relax while watching the boats. We hit up Table and Tavern for mimosas and it was perfect! We were stuffed from brunch, but the food looked great too! I'd definitely go back and eat there next time!

Next, we headed back to Kings street to explore more and do some shopping. The shopping on King street is awesome!! It's a bit pricey, and by that, I mean, its more money than Target and Amazon, so out of my budget, but it was still fun to window shop and pop in and out of all the lovey shops!

After that, we headed to Palmetto Brewery, an awesome spot our friends recommended and another brewery that offered wine and seltzers, which is a win for me! It has a really cool vibe with games and twinkle lights hanging in a cool converted warehouse. I cant speak for the beer, but the beer snobs in our group seemed to like it, so a great spot to hit up for everyone in the group!

Later that night, we headed to Leon's, a restaurant that was highly recommended by our Air B and B owner and walking distance down the street from out house! The fried chicken was amazing and the Frosѐ was even better! The fried chicken was so good, I was too busy enjoying it that I didn't even get a picture of it! Crazy right!?

The next day, we felt like we had ate and drank our way throughout Charleston sufficiently so we decided to then do the same thing in Hilton Head and Savannah! Road Trip! We rented an SUV which only cost 16 bucks per person and drove 2 hours South to Hilton Head Island. We headed to Harbour Town at the Sea Pines resort to check out the famous Hilton Head Lighthouse. We walked around there for a bit, checked out the shops and took in the gorgeous scenery of the harbor and the golf course. After that we headed to the Crazy Crab at Jarvis Creek. This was my fav food of the entire trip! SO. MUCH. SEAFOOD! I was in heaven! Not to mention the gorgeous views of the South Carolina Low Country! It was such a great lunch!

After lunch, we continued our southern road trip and drove 40 minutes further South to Savannah! I was so excited to include Savannah in this trip since I've been wanting to go there so long! It didn't disappoint! It was so charming, with old streets, vintage buildings and Spanish Moss trees everywhere! First up, we went to Wormsloe Historical Site. The quintessential picture you get when you think of Savannah with huge arching Spanish Moss trees! Heads up, it costs money to enter, so you could either pay, or do what we did and quickly take photos in front of the famous trees then bounce. The choice is yours!

After that, we hit up a roof top, obvi! Everyone knows that rooftops are my fav and this one did not disappoint! Peregrin, a huge rooftop located atop of the Perry Lane Hotel was so chic, with gorgeous views and hand crafted delicious cocktails! To say I was in love was an understatement! It was so relaxing and a perfect place to take it all in! Plus the hotel located below was super cool! I definitely recommend this spot!

After our rooftop cocktails, we did our own little walking tour and strolled the historic streets of Savannah including Johnsons Square, Wright Square and Chippewa Square, all with lovely statues, fountains and of course over arching Spanish Mosses

After that we headed to a delicious Dinner at Cotton and Rye where we tried just about everything on the menu and toasted to another great tip!

Well now you're all ready for your trip! So get packing and get ready for a whole lot of Southern Charm!

Thanks for reading!

xoxo
